Since 1977, Socota Fisheries has established itself as the benchmark for responsible fishing in the Indian Ocean. Our aquaculture farms in Ranobe Bay and Ankarana produce organic shrimp of exceptional purity — antibiotic-free, GMO-free.

Every batch is traced from farm to fork, certified by independent international bodies. Our partnerships with WWF and Plan Vivo guarantee the protection of 1,200 ha of mangroves that shelter our ecosystems.

restored.

In partnership with WWF Madagascar and Plan Vivo, we launched in 2019 the largest mangrove restoration programme in East Africa.

These coastal ecosystems are vital: they shelter juvenile marine species, filter water, and store up to 5x more carbon than terrestrial forests. Our farms are designed to integrate with, not oppose, these natural habitats.
